CLINICAL MENTAL HEALTH COUNSELING INTERN

Accepting New Clients

In-person Sessions

Individuals Only

I work with adolescents and adults navigating anxiety, depression, stress, grief, life transitions, self-esteem, and relationship challenges. My goal is to create a space where you can slow down, feel heard, and better understand yourself. Together, we can build greater self-awareness, healthier ways of coping, stronger communication, and more confidence in navigating the choices and challenges in front of you.

I believe you are the expert on your own life. My role is not to tell you who you should be or what you should do. Whether you are feeling overwhelmed, stuck, or simply trying to figure out what comes next, you do not have to have everything figured out before coming to therapy.

My approach is warm, collaborative, and grounded in the belief that people already carry strengths and insight within themselves. I draw primarily from Person-Centered and Existential approaches, along with strengths-based counseling, psychoeducation, and practical skills for coping and emotional regulation. I also respect that each client comes with their own beliefs, values, and experiences, and I will always meet you where you are.

My Christian faith is an important part of who I am, and for clients who desire it, I welcome the opportunity to incorporate a Christ-centered perspective into our work together.

Angie specializes in supporting clients with:

Anxiety, depression, and stress that make everyday life feel overwhelming

Life transitions and uncertainty about what comes next

Questions about identity, purpose, and what you want your life to look like

Coping skills and emotional regulation

Relationship challenges and building stronger communication

Grief and the difficult emotions that come with loss

Self-esteem and learning to see yourself with greater clarity and confidence

Faith and spirituality for clients who want a Christ-centered perspective included in therapy

What it’s like to work with Angie

Angie creates a warm, collaborative space where you can slow down and talk honestly about what is happening in your life. She does not see herself as the expert on who you should be or what you should do. Instead, she helps you recognize the strengths and insight you already carry while making room for you to better understand yourself.

Angie is especially interested in the deeper questions that can surface during difficult seasons of life: Who am I? What matters to me? What do I want my life to look like? She will explore those questions with you while helping you develop healthier ways of coping, communicate more effectively, and feel more confident about the choices in front of you.

Angie's Experience

Before entering the counseling field, Angie spent 21 years as a public educator working closely with children, adolescents, and families. That experience taught her that every person brings a different story, set of strengths, and way of experiencing the world. She brings that same curiosity and respect into the counseling room.

Angie is currently pursuing her Master’s degree in Clinical Mental Health Counseling at the University of the Cumberlands. Above all, she wants therapy to be a place where you can show up as you are, feel genuinely understood, and have the space to discover what moving forward looks like for you.

I used the most likely labels based on the current profile template, but those three details should be confirmed before publishing.
