After spending 29 years as an elementary school teacher, I figured out that what people need most is not someone to hand them answers. They need someone to sit with them while they find their own. That belief has been at the center of my work as a therapist ever since I opened Tabb Therapy in 2022, and it shapes every session I lead.
I am EMDR certified and Trauma Play certified, and I am currently training in the assessment and treatment of dissociation. Most of the people who come to see me are carrying something heavy from childhood, abuse, neglect, family pain, or the kind of quiet wounds that do not always have a name but show up in everything. I am not afraid of any of it. I sit with the hard stuff without flinching, ask the questions that matter, and help you make connections between your past and your present that you may have never quite been able to see before.
In our sessions, I will be honest with you. I will be warm with you. I will absolutely remember the story you told three sessions ago and bring it back exactly when it matters. And when you leave feeling lighter, I will remind you that you did that. Not me. You. That is the whole point.

Anxiety, depression, and low self-worth tied to past experiences

Family dynamics and the patterns that get passed down

Dissociation and trauma-related identity concerns

Trauma rooted in childhood abuse, physical, emotional, and caregiver harm

Building confidence, communication skills, and independent decision-making
Wynna’s sessions feel less like a clinical appointment and more like a conversation with someone who genuinely remembers your story. She uses metaphor, psychoeducation, and a deeply collaborative style to help clients connect the dots between their past and their present. She is warm and funny and will absolutely call out the things you are avoiding, but always in a way that feels like someone is in your corner.
She uses EMDR, Motivational Interviewing, Narrative Therapy, and Collaborative Therapy, and she brings every tool in her kit to wherever you are that day. When you make progress, she will hand that win straight back to you. That is intentional. She does not want you to need her forever. She wants you to fly.
Wynna spent 29 years as an elementary school teacher before earning her license as a Marriage and Family Therapist and opening Tabb Therapy in 2022. She is EMDR certified and Trauma Play certified, and she is currently training in the assessment and treatment of dissociation. She founded this practice on the belief that every person who walks through the door already has what it takes to heal. Her job is simply to help them find it.
Most of my clients are working through trauma, and a lot of that traces back to childhood. Abuse, neglect, family pain, the kind of stuff that gets carried quietly for years. I also see a lot of anxiety, depression, and difficulty with communication or decision-making that connects back to those same roots.
We are going to talk. I am going to ask questions, and I am genuinely curious about your answers. I will not ask you to write a book on the intake form. I want you to save the good stuff for the room. By the end of the session, you should feel like you have been heard and like there is a real path forward.
Only if you are about to do something really bad. Otherwise, no. My job is to help you figure out what you think, what you want, and how to get there. The answers are already in you. I am just here to help you sort through them.
EMDR stands for Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing. It is a trauma-focused therapy that helps your brain process memories that have gotten stuck. It is not hypnosis and it is not scary. It is one of the most researched trauma treatments available. You do not have to do it, but most of my clients who try it are really glad they did.
I mean, I did adopt him. So.
