Children (ages 6 to 10), Preteens, Teens, Adults, Older Adults, LGBTQIA+

I have worked with clients ranging in age from 4 to 84, and that range is not accidental. I am genuinely versatile, equally comfortable doing play therapy with a six-year-old as I am doing deep trauma work with an adult who has been carrying something for decades. My background spans therapeutic foster care and private practice, and both taught me the same thing: the need to feel seen and safe is universal, regardless of age.
I am EMDR-trained and bring a trauma-focused, affirming approach to everything I do. I draw from CBT, DBT, Motivational Interviewing, Person-Centered Therapy, Play Therapy, and psychoanalytic approaches, building a plan that reflects you as a whole person rather than just the presenting concern. For LGBTQ+ clients, my space is fully affirming and completely free of the need to explain or justify who you are. For clients navigating chronic illness, I bring a real understanding of how physical and mental health intersect in ways that often go unacknowledged.
People describe my presence in the room as animated and outgoing. I do not perform warmth, I just have it. My goal for every person I work with is the same: that you leave feeling more grounded, more secure in yourself, and more equipped to handle the things that used to knock you completely sideways.

Childhood trauma and sexual abuse

Anxiety, depression, and mood concerns

LGBTQ+ affirming care and identity exploration

Body image and self-esteem

Grief, chronic illness, and chronic impulsivity

Trauma and PTSD, including complex and relational trauma
Kelley is EMDR-trained and uses it alongside CBT, DBT, Play Therapy, and psychoanalytic approaches, building a plan that reflects the whole person rather than just the presenting concern. For younger clients, she incorporates play as a natural and effective bridge into the therapeutic work.
She brings a deep commitment to affirming care, particularly for LGBTQ+ clients and individuals whose identities have not always been welcomed or understood in clinical spaces. You will not have to explain yourself here. You will not have to shrink to fit the room. Kelley’s goal is for every client to leave feeling more grounded, more secure in who they are, and more equipped to move through the things that used to knock them sideways.
Kelley holds a Master of Science in Social Work and is a Certified Social Worker licensed in Kentucky through March 2028. Her clinical background includes therapeutic foster care with ages 3 to 21 and private practice spanning ages 4 to 84. That range speaks to both her versatility and her ability to connect meaningfully with clients across very different life stages and presenting needs.
Yes. I work with children as young as 6 and through all teen years. With younger clients I often incorporate play therapy, which is a research-backed, developmentally appropriate way to work through big emotions and experiences without requiring the verbal processing adults typically use.
Completely and without reservation. You do not have to come in and explain your identity or justify who you are. This is a space where you are fully seen and welcome, full stop.
Yes, and this is something I feel strongly about. Chronic illness affects mental health in ways that are often underrecognized. The grief, the identity disruption, the nervous system impact, all of it is real and all of it belongs in the therapy room.
EMDR is a trauma-focused therapy that helps the brain process memories that have gotten stuck. I am trained in EMDR and use it as part of a broader trauma-informed approach. We would talk through whether it feels right for you before incorporating it.
He runs to me first in the morning. I am letting that speak for itself.
