I came to this work through a path that shaped me in all the right ways. I have worked as a Mental Health Technician in an inpatient setting, as a Military Clinical Case Manager, and as a pre-licensed therapist in private practice. Those environments taught me how to show up steady when things are not, how to hold space without panicking, and how to meet someone at their lowest and still see who they are capable of becoming.

I work with children, adolescents, teens, and adults, with a particular focus on women navigating hard chapters. That might be anxiety that has become unmanageable, grief that will not lift, a body image that has been at war with itself for years, or the slow aftermath of domestic or emotional abuse. I am actively growing my expertise in supporting survivors of domestic violence and abuse, and I bring both humility and genuine care to that work. I also integrate faith and spirituality into sessions for clients who want it, and I hold that with real respect.

I work from CBT, DBT, SFBT, Person-Centered Therapy, Narrative Therapy, and ChristCentered Narrative Therapy, and I bring both structure and warmth to every session. I am not in a hurry, and I am not going to make you feel like a problem to be processed. I am going to show up for you, help you name what is happening, and help you start building something stronger from wherever you are.

Monique specializes in supporting clients with:

Anxiety, depression, stress, and grief

Self-esteem, body image, and women's issues

Behavioral concerns, anger, and coping skill development

Life transitions and the identity questions that come with them

Faith and spirituality as a source of strength

Trauma, with a growing focus on domestic abuse and emotional violence

What it’s like to work with Monique

Monique’s sessions feel supported and paced. She draws from CBT, DBT, SFBT, Person-Centered, Narrative Therapy, and Christ-Centered Narrative Therapy, meaning she brings both structure and flexibility depending on what the moment calls for. She is not in a hurry and she is not going to make you feel like a problem to be solved.

She has a particular heart for women who have been through it and are ready to start rebuilding. Whether that is rebuilding confidence, rebuilding safety, or simply rebuilding a sense of who they are outside of what happened to them. She also integrates spirituality for clients who find strength in their faith, and she holds that with care and respect.

Monique's Experience

Monique holds her pre-licensure as a Licensed Professional Counselor Associate in Kentucky. Her background includes work as a Mental Health Technician in an inpatient setting, a Military Clinical Case Manager in an inpatient environment, and as an LPCA intern in private practice. That range of settings has given her a grounded, adaptable approach that holds up in both highintensity and quieter therapeutic contexts.

Only if you want it there. I offer Christ-Centered Narrative Therapy for clients whose faith is meaningful to them, and I hold that with real care. If faith is not part of your life, we work from a different place entirely. You lead on that.

That is a very normal way to feel walking into therapy. Part of my job is to help guide the conversation. You do not need to have it together before you arrive. That is literally what we are here to work on.

Yes. Anger is often a sign that something important is not being addressed. I help clients understand what is underneath the anger, develop healthier responses, and find better ways to communicate what is actually going on.

I am still earning that title, but I am putting in the effort every single day.
